Fondation Cartier, Jean Nouvel, Paris (10)

Fondation Cartier, Paris, designed by Jean Nouvel.
Architects who blur the line between inside and outside really confuse the heck out of the birds. Nouvel also designed the Institut du Monde Arabe.

For the foundation's current exhibit, "Pain Couture," Jean-Paul Gaultier hired a team of expert bakers to remake his greatest fashion hits in bread. This may be the most French thing I have seen in France.

Laundromat's recent bird/cars picture would have been real appropriate right here... :D

i really think you should spend the 17 bux for a lpl...unless you have an auto focus slr or dslr. Then get a cpl. it will do wonders for all those shots through windows, 3 maybe 4 of those images would look so much better

Jent: This would involve getting a camera that takes lenses, which probably wouldn't fit in my pocket. But thanks for the suggestion. Maybe someday...

I hear the Fondation Cartier has a parking garage buried beneath it. it looks great at sunset, but I have to say I feel for those birds.

there have been a bunch of Pain Couture pix on the web lately, but yours are the best (and so is the comment about the show)

I walked by this place twice when going to the Catacombs and looking for Arago markers last month. I was curious what it was, it certainly catches the eye.

Red: Yes, there are two glass boxes (naturally) behind the first glass facade containing car elevators for garage access. It must be two floors down because there's exhibit space in the first basement.

Love your work. You've inspired me to take more photos around NYC.
